Don

Don Tolsma

President

Don has been in the construction industry since the late ’90s. Working with Lincolnberg Master Builder, Don has done it all. Starting with decks, fences and framing, Don excelled and quickly rose to Site Superintendent, Construction Manager and now President of Timber Haus Developments.

As a building industry leader, Don is now on the board of directors with the Canadian Home Builders Association Edmonton Region.  Don is also actively involved with the Builder Technical Committee, IDEA, and the Edmonton Infill Working Group. “We build amazing homes for amazing people. A great home at a fair price is far superior to a fair home at a great price”.

John

John Wilson

Vice-President

John has worked building homes for over eighteen years, shaping the city as a journeyman, carpenter, and small business owner. He joined the Lincolnberg team in 2013 as a Superintendent.

John’s passion for design blends lifestyle, nature, and community.  This passion inspired him and his partner, Don Tolsma, to approach Lincolnberg with a plan to help Edmonton achieve density, but in our way: Density Done Right™.

Tammy

Tammy MacKay

NCIDQ, AKBD

Tammy is an Edmonton-based registered interior designer with over 20 years in the Industry. She owns a boutique design firm called Design Eye. Here she works on both Commercial and Residential projects of varying scopes. Tammy is a member of Interior Designers of Canada and Interior Designers of Alberta. She is an advocate for the interior design industry, which has led her to mentor and support new and upcoming designers; additionally, throughout her career, she has participated in and been chair of interior design advisory boards in Alberta. Giving back to an industry that has been so good to her is something she is committed to. She has been an instructor at the University of Alberta for over 20 years. World-class events such as NEOCON and KBIS have invited her to lecture fellow design professionals and students. She is also a co-author of the NKBA publication, Lighting: Concept, Design, Light. Interior Design is a dynamic industry that she feels fortunate to be a part of. Tammy’s design philosophy is that spaces should be a backdrop for all things meaningful in your life….People and Conversation, Food and Music, Art & Architecture.

Jesse

Jesse Perry

Drafting Team Lead

Jesse Perry is a graduate of NAIT’s Architectural Technology program specializing in residential design and drafting.  Jesse is here to assist you with the first steps of making your dreams a reality.

Working with your Client Representative James Matte and our Head of Design, John Wilson, Jesse is ready to work for you to design a custom home or suite you will be proud of. Jesse’s youth and enthusiasm shine through on every draft.

Brian

Brian Thomson

Sales Representative

Brian was born in England and moved to Canada in 1977.  He has become very excited about the home industry since building with Timber Haus in 2020.  He has lived in the Millcreek ravine area since 1994 and is very passionate about central ravine living.  Brian spent 36 years in the auto industry, starting as a mechanic and moving up to service manager.  After that, he transitioned into finance and creditor insurance as a rep for the past 16 years.  He is passionate about DYI projects with both cars and homes.  Brian loves people, is highly social and can talk your ear off!  Also, he is a dog lover, having owned four labs!  Brian has been heavily involved in the community, previously coaching soccer, and is currently coaching volleyball.

Sean

Sean Wiebe

Sales Representative

Sean sat down in front of Don and John, and he first said, “It is my dream to work for Timber Haus!”.  With an extensive background in the home building industry, he chairs the marketing and member communications committee at the Canadian Home Builders Association. He has been involved with them for almost five years.  His passion for helping people doesn’t stop at building homes; he is a wingman for Wings of Providence, a women’s shelter in Edmonton and often volunteers with other organizations in the community.  He can be found diving into one of his many hobbies, cooking, working on his old BMW, hiking, and photography in his free time.  His wife Kristyn and Dog Finnigan keep him on his toes, and he loves walking with them both.

Ryan

Ryan Charron

Site Superintendent

Ryan entered the construction industry in August 2013 as a rookie in residential construction. Ryan excelled as an Assistant Site Superintendent for five years with Lincolnberg Master Builder learning the ropes by overseeing hundreds of homes built in neighbourhoods across the city, managing and directing trades and ensuring timely/quality project completion.

In 2018 Ryan’s personal life took him to Calgary, but in 2020 he returned to Edmonton and joined Timber Haus developments as a Service Manager. His attention to detail makes him a customer favourite during home turnovers and follow-up warranty visits. Ryan’s skills with the tools, insatiable desire to help people and excellent communication abilities have made him an invaluable asset to Timber Haus.

Jeff

Jeff Tolsma

Site Superintendant

Jeff has been in the construction business for most of his life. He was born and raised on a farm outside St. Albert, AB. While dating his girlfriend and now wife, they both lived in Chilliwack, BC, where he worked for a construction company gaining vast knowledge in all aspects of carpentry. After moving back to Alberta, getting married and starting a family, Jeff settled in the small town of Lacombe. There he worked for Wolf Creek Building Supplies installing windows and doors, then was promoted to Operations Manager in the Timber Wolf Truss Company. In 2015, Jeff and his family moved back to the Edmonton area and started working for Lincolnberg Master Builder. After six years working at Lincolnberg as a site superintendent, he recently started working for Timber Haus, assuming the role of site superintendent. Jeff currently has two sons and two daughters.

Dean

Dean Kuly

Procurement & Projects Manager

After graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Alberta in 2012, Dean has acquired a wealth of experience from various industries. Having initially started his career in the petroleum and natural resources sector, Dean has also worked in civil construction and municipal infrastructure services.

Aside from his most recent role as a Structural Design Engineer, Dean previously left his mark on the world-famous West Edmonton Mall; it was there that he spearheaded numerous multi-million-dollar thrill ride installations and water park upgrades while acting as Project Manager for the Triple Five Corporation. Dean looks forward to bringing an innovative and creative approach to purchasing while using his strong analytical skills to ensure sound financial management and the successful completion of Timber Haus’ many iconic projects.

Bryan

Bryn Petch

Service Manager

Bryn Petch began his carpentry career building for Lincolnberg Homes while apprenticing under John Wilson (Timber Haus’ Vice President) for three years. After framing, He spent six years in residential renovations and had the opportunity to teach Carpentry at NAIT as a sessional instructor. Bryn has always had a drive for precision and focusing on how the little details come together to make up the big picture. As the Superintendent for Timber Haus, he brings first-hand knowledge of all the trades to help streamline the construction process. Bryn is responsible for putting together the schedule and synchronizing the sub-trades, making each project something we can all be proud of. One of the greatest aspects of this job is getting a chance to work with our new homeowners and building a relationship with each of them. Everyone has a unique vision of their dream home, and being able to bring that into reality is an enriching experience.
